Students, staff, administrators, Hillside Police Officers, Board of Education members, and community members converged from all corners of Hillside to walk in harmony from Hurden Looker Elementary School to Hillside High School! Led by Superintendent Glover, Colonel Drakeford, the Hillside NAACP, and @hillsideajrotc students, Hillside Public Schools staff, Community Stakeholders, and students from Hurden Looker, Ola Edwards Community School, and Deanna G. Taylor Academy marched in honor of Ms. Ruby Bridges, the first black student to integrate an elementary school in the United States in 1960! Thank you Board President Cook, Board of Education members, Hillside NAACP, Superintendent Glover, and our entire district for an amazing, historic, commemorative walk!

A prime example is the Culture Day which took place at Ola Edwards Community School today! Students had a blast presenting about their home countries and cultures, bringing in props, and wearing attires from their country.
