It’s design time in HEP! This year the HEP students will be working on a project that has an important design element! The 3rd and 4th grade HEP students will be working on developing games that relate to concepts they learn in Language Arts, Mathematics, World Language, etc. As they develop their games, they are also going to be designing and printing game pieces using Tinkercad and Makerbot.  Upon completion of their games, students will have the opportunity to design a gaming t-shirt that advertises their game!

The 5th and 6th grade HEP students will be learning to program the Cue robots.  Upon becoming proficient with the block programming, they will have the opportunity to begin working on designing an obstacle course using household items for their robots to navigate through.  Once their mazes/obstacle courses are complete, they will take their design and make a virtual one on Scratch.org and construct controllers for their games using Makey Makeys!
